Our Perspective

Asaha Wines is a passionate endeavour led by Gaurav Puri and Tracy Rook. The couple embarked on a journey to master winemaking in the Okanagan Valley. Their vineyard, situated on a 2.81-acre south-facing slope, benefits from a unique micro-climate that allows for later harvests and optimal grape ripening. This hands-off approach in the winery ensures the natural characteristics of the grapes and terroir are preserved in every bottle.

Asaha Wines releases their handcrafted wines twice a year, coinciding with the transitions from spring to summer and fall to winter, offering 11 different vintages annually. The Cab Sauv, a rich red wine with notes of dark fruit and spice, and the Asaha Chardonnay, with hints of pear and oak, are standout choices that reflect the winery's dedication to quality.

The journey of Gaurav and Tracy is complemented by the expertise of Pascal Madevon, an esteemed viticulturist and oenologist trained in Bordeaux. Pascal’s philosophy of listening to the grapes and allowing them to tell their story aligns perfectly with Asaha Wines’ commitment to authentic winemaking. His guidance ensures that each vintage captures the essence of the Okanagan terroir.

Sustainability is a core value at Asaha Wines. The vineyard employs environmentally friendly farming practices, ensuring that their wines are not only exceptional but also kind to the planet. The tasting room offers a welcoming atmosphere where visitors can sample various wines and learn about the winemaking process from knowledgeable staff.

Asaha Wines is a nod to the art of winemaking and the beauty of the Okanagan Valley.
