Meadowlark Nature Festival
Event Details
The Meadowlark Nature Festival, held every May long weekend since 1998, celebrates the natural environment of the Okanagan Similkameen region with interactive, multi-disciplinary events. Spanning diverse locations from Canada’s desert landscapes to alpine meadows, the festival offers activities such as canoe trips, guided hikes, birdwatching, cultural events, astronomy, workshops, and more, led by experts including biologists, historians, and artists. Hosted by the Okanagan Similkameen Conservation Alliance (OSCA), the festival aims to inspire conservation efforts and connect participants with nature. Events occur at various locations across the region, supporting eco-tourism and drawing attention to the area’s unique habitats and species.
